Footage shows toilet signs using amusingly strange English mis-translations in China.
The sign read ‘Momen’ above the cubicles intended for men while the other one a few feet away for women was written as ‘Wen’ in a public restroom on January 13.
China introduced a national standard for the use of the English language on public signage which came into effect on December 1 last year. The guideline will be used in 13 areas including transport, health care, and financial services.
