A glass table cover shattered while a mother stood on it to clean a ceiling lamp in China.
The woman named Jing was busy wiping the light fixtures while her son was playing next to her in Shuozhuo City, Shanxi province on January 22. Suddenly, the glass beneath her feet cracked into tiny shards.
As her slippers were far away, Jing had to step barefooted on the sharp fragments to carry the child to safety.
She said: ‘A big glass ball fell down while my son was playing on the table. I was afraid he would hurt his feet, so I quickly stepped on the glass and carried him to a safer place.’
