A sedan rolled into a roadside field in central China after its driver parked without pulling the handbrake.
The driver, Mr. Liao, had left the vehicle to rinse the ice off of his windshield with warm water in Loudi City, Hunan province on January 27. However, he forgot to pull the brakes, causing the car to reverse all the way out to a nearby farmland.
Footage shows the panicked man trying to stop his runaway ride to no avail. It fell upside down into the muddy paddy, and had to be pulled out via a crane.
Mr. Liao said: ‘I was going to bring some hot water to melt the ice on my car, but I forgot to pull the handbrake. I never thought it would roll into the field.’
