Cats rescued from floods in Johor, Malaysia

This is the heartwarming moment pet cats were rescued from floods in Johor, Malaysia, on Sunday afternoon (Jan 3).

The creatures were stranded when a nearby river overflowed and submerged homes in the town of Kota Tinggi.

In the nearby capital Kuala Lumpur, roads were flooded and thousands of residents were evacuated.

Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) director Datuk Azisman Alias urged the public and road users to stay safe.
