A motorist recorded the amazing scene as he drove through walls of snow after an avalanche in Switzerland.
Several tonnes of powder collapsed from the mountains and blocked the narrow road in Grengiols on February 16.
Workers cleared the snow and created two imposing walls like a white tunnel on either side of the road.
Kilian Holzer, local guide from Drive and Hike Virtual Tours, said the roads had been buried under deep snow and took several days of clearing before they were passable again.
She said: ‘A large avalanche of snow buried the road between Grengiols and Bister in Switzerland. It took days until the road was passable again.
‘It is breathtaking to drive through these masses of snow. You can feel the power of such an avalanche.’
