Brave youngsters saved a drowning dog stuck in a swollen river after heavy rain.
The frightened pooch struggled to escape from the muddy torrents from a recent storm in Cebu City, the Philippines on February 14.
Onlooker Jerico Palpalatoc said they tried to help the dog but the water became even stronger until the youngsters pulled the dog to safety.
He said: ‘I am so proud of those children. Their parents raised them well. The dog was saved because of them.’
