Adorable CCTV footage shows a wild wallaby entering a hospital after leaping through the car park in Australia.
The animal, nicknamed Wally by staff, hopped its way through the Hamilton Base Hospital emergency department in Hamilton on Australia Day (January 26).
Western District Health Service chief executive Rohan Fitzgerald said the creatures were generally shy so it was an amazing experience to have one enter the hospital.
He said: ‘It’s wonderful to have such a close encounter with what is generally a very shy creature.’
‘We have had an incredible year in the context of the pandemic and it’s nice to have some lighthearted moments to reflect on.’
