Parts of northeast Thailand were covered in fog this morning (March 9) following the onset of storms and rising humidity.

Footage from Nakhon Ratchasima province shows how drivers had to grapple with reduced visibility. While even on the street, locals struggled to see through the mist.

The Thai Meteorological Department said summer thunderstorms with gusty winds were caused by moderate high-pressure system covering the northeast of the country and the South China sea.
