A beautiful pair of sunbeam snake were found intertwined with each other during a mating ritual outside a school in Thailand.
The reptiles attracted residents after rolling over the pavement while entangled with each other in Narathiwat province on February 24.
Onlooker Wutichai Tongdee said they thought the snakes were fighting but when they looked closer they appeared to be mating instead.
He said: ‘This is definitely a sign of good luck. What are the chances that I would come across two beautiful snakes mating?’
Sunbeam snakes are known for their highly iridescent scales and are mostly found across Southeast Asia.
