Myanmar soldiers stormed into a village opening fire killing at least five civilians this morning (April 9).
Footage shows the troops shooting automatic rifles as they run through homes in Bago, formerly known as Hanthawaddy, around 56 miles north-east of Yangon.
At least five people were reportedly killed in the onslaught. It came after two deaths in Bago on Wednesday (April 7) when security forces fired at anti-coup protesters.
More than 600 protesters and bystanders have been killed by security forces after the army seized power with a military coup on February 1.
