Injured python treated on roadside after suffering wounds from fight with a dog

This is the heartwarming moment vets treated an injured python on the roadside.

The 12ft-long snake had wounds on its body believed to have been inflicted during a tussle with a stray dog in Samut Prakan, Thailand, on March 20.

Animal groups received reports of the injured creature and rushed to the scene to bandage up the cuts across its body.

The rescuer involved said: ‘This is really hard work because the snake is in pain and frightened. They are dangerous when they are fearful, so we had to be careful while treating its injuries.’

The snake was taken away to be rehabilitated by staff from Thailand’s Department of National Parks.
