Footage shows a woman receiving a piggyback from her boyfriend so she could cross a flooded road in the Philippines.
Stranded resident Nick Orcales said the woman worked nearby and was fetched by her partner when the water started to rise in Davao City on April 11.
Nick said: ‘Her boyfriend was caring. We were all stranded because we did not want to cross the dirty flood water but this woman was able to come home dry.’
The Davao region in southern Philippines experienced heavy rains and thunderstorms last weekend due to easterly winds blowing from the Pacific.
Officials from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office had distributed relief goods to 1,130 affected families in the region.
