A radiated ratsnake was caught under a family’s living room sofa in Thailand.
Rescue volunteers were called after the snake was spotted inside a resident’s house in Udon Thani province on February 24.
When the team arrived at the scene they searched under the furniture using a flashlight before discovering the snake’s hiding spot under the black leather sofa.
The creature tried to escape but the team was fast and caught the intruder after only five minutes.
Rescuer Aa Leflef said: ‘This little guy tried to escape several times. First he moved deep into the sofa then he tried to wriggle away when we pulled it out.’
The snake was taken with the team to be released later.
