This is the moment an elephant cooled down in a canal on a hot summer in Thailand.

Footage shows the baby jumbo named Kaew soaking in the water in Rayong city on August 27. The elephant was seen using its trunk to shower its body with mud. Animal health officers later brought fruit, donated by kind locals and organisations, to feed Kaew.

Thailand commonly experiences hotter weather from March to May, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius in some regions.
