Footage shows the moment a storm blew a sign onto a car during a storm in Bangkok, Thailand, on Wednesday afternoon (May 19).
The large advertising hoarding outside a shop was pushed over by the strong gusts which battered the capital leading to flash floods. There were thunderstorms throughout the night.
The incident was recorded by a woman who took shelter under the store’s entrance when the heavy rain hit.
She said: ‘The wind was so strong it took down a huge sign kept next to the car.’
Thailand and other countries in Southeast Asia such as Malaysia and Indonesia are approaching their tropical monsoon rainy season. Soaring temperatures reaching 35 degrees Celsius are often followed by powerful tropical storms with thunder, lightning, rain and flash floods.
