This is the horrifying moment a gas leak caused an explosion at a restaurant in China.

Footage shows how the doors and windows of the barbecue restaurant in Xuzhou city were smashed by the force of the liquefied petroleum gas blast on May 28.

Firefighters from the Xuzhou City 119 Command Centre rushed to the scene. They spent around 20 minutes extinguishing the fire caused by the explosion.

Several shops were damaged and several passing residents suffered injuries from the shards of glass. Four gas tanks were removed from the scene while eight cars on both sides of the road were damaged.
