Footage shows a food market in Bangkok that was closed today (June 18) after a cluster of Covid-19 cases erupted among the Burmese workers there.
The open-air market in the Huai Khwang district will remain closed for 14 days while locals quarantine to avoid spreading the infection.
Thailand has recorded 210,782 Covid-19 cases and 1,577 deaths as of June 18. Ministers hope a vaccine rollout which started this month will allow them to re-open the country to international tourists before the end of the year.
