A rescue operation was underway today (June 24) after a building appeared to have collapse in Miami Beach in the early hours of the morning.
Shocking footage shows the debris at a corner of Collins Avenue on 88th Street as the emergency services arrived and shocked locals gathered at the scene.
Witnesses claim to have heard people screaming beneath the rubble during frantic efforts to free them from the the rubble of the building, believed to be a 12-storey apartment block named Champlain Towers South.
