This is the moment a bolt of lightning pierced the sky behind a gold-tinged rainbow in the U.S. state of Maryland.
The phenomenon was filmed near Flintstone in the north-eastern US state of Maryland on June 28.
Onlooker Erick Kirchner said: ‘Rainbow with lightning strike looking from Martins Mountain west of Flintstone, MD, this evening.’
The footage shows a gold-tinged rainbow, apparently close to sunset time, arcing over a motorway as a bolt of lightning pierces the sky behind it.
