Footage shows two men trying to rescue stranded motorcycle from flash floods in the Philippines.

Driver Cris Jhon Escueta said the fast-flowing water suddenly rose as he crossed the Bantac River in Magpet, Cotabato province, on January 15. He was forced to leave his motorcycle to scramble to a safe place.

Cris said: ‘Luckily there were two men near the river and they helped save the motor that was swept away by the flood.’

The heavy rains were caused by a low-pressure area of weather and northeast monsoon which overflowed Kapingkong and Ala river running across the province.
