Strong winds fell tree and blow away cart in Vietnam

This is the terrifying moment strong winds felled a tree and blew away a cart in Vietnam.

Frightened resident Karena was inside her house as the storm passed through their village in An Khan, Can Tho City on July 20.

She said: ‘I did not expect that the tree which was there for a long time would be ripped. We were all safe but the damage was unbelievable.’

Vietnam and other countries in Southeast Asia such as Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines are at the start of their tropical monsoon rainy season, which lasts until October or November. Soaring temperatures reaching 35 degrees Celsius are often followed by powerful tropical storms with thunder, lightning, rain and flash floods.
