Families had to flee their homes after being swamped with floods from Typhoon In-fa in the Philippines.

Footage shows residents in the town of Naujan in Oriental Mindoro province wading through the water and trying to salvage what they can of their belongings, including pet animals and livestock.

Resident Ayhreen Quindong today (July 26) pleaded for donations to help people affected by the typhoon, locally known as Fabian, which continues to affect the area.

She said: ‘The village needs your help – clothes, blankets, food, whatever you’re free to give. You may course donations through our Barangay Captain Ben Atienza to help families whose livelihoods were affected.’

Typhoon In-fa moved north east and caused severe damage in China where dozens of people have been killed in the floods.
