Footage shows flames engulfing portions of Marmaris – famous for its pebbly beach and seafront promenade – along the Turkish Riviera on July 30.
Eight people have reportedly died due to the fires affecting towns on Turkey’s southern coast, while thousands more have been evacuated.
The Turkish government has vowed to compensate for the loss of homes and property in the ravaged areas while efforts to put out the wildfires are ongoing.
Wildfires continue to burn across Turkey affecting neighbouring countries Spain, Greece and Italy as heatwaves brought extreme temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.
