This is the moment a rescue team helped a stranded driver stuck on a flooded road in China.
Several officers from the Dongfu fire station were deployed to an intersection in Haicang District to save a man whose vehicle was submerged in flood on August 5. The men were seen handing out a life preserver and escorting the driver to safety.
An orange rainstorm warning was earlier raised by local authorities in Xiamen, as torrential rains from Typhoon Lupit brought floods reportedly more than one meter deep in Haicang.
Typhoon Lupit made landfall in Guangdong province on August 5. More than 33,000 have been evacuated from the coast as strong winds and heavy downpours are expected over the next few days.
