Fire dozers moved along the hillside as the Dixie Fire continued to burn through California.
Footage shows the vehicles heading towards wildfire-ravaged hillsides on August 9.
The heavy-duty vehicles are used to create containment lines, removing flammable material from the fire’s path and preventing the blaze from spreading.
Firefighters are still struggling to contain the Dixie Fire, which started on July 14 and has ripped through nearly 500,000 acres of land, including the historic gold rush town of Greenville. Thousands of residents have been displaced in what has become the second-largest wildfire in California history.
Authorities have pushed back the wildfire’s expected containment date from August 30 to “to be determined.”
