A farmer was baffled after a pig gave birth to a bizarre baby with trunk and huge ears resembling an elephant.
Tenguay Pleedee, 75, claimed she had a strange dream the night the piglet was born in Nakhon Ratchasima province, Thailand on January 19.
The superstitious farmer dreamt that she was riding an elephant up in the clouds.
When she woke up in the morning, her pet pig had already given birth to four babies.
The first three that came out looked normal except for the last one which had apparent deformities.
The piglet appeared to have a long trunk as nose, with huge flappy ears, big eyes, and a long tongue.
Tenguay thought the piglet was lucky as it had a special appearance and looked like the Hindu God Ganesha.
However, the creature did not survive longer than 30 minutes as it had difficulty breathing and suffocated due to its malformed nose.
After it died, Tenguay cleaned it and put the pig on a shrine to worship and pray.
After hearing about the animal, the old farmer’s neighbours also visited her house to pray for good luck.
She said: ‘Even if it died, I still believe that the piglet is special and was born here for a reason.’
