Environmental activist group Extinction Rebellion held a protest in London, calling on the government to address climate change.

Onlooker Samuel Quested recorded the demonstrators gathering on August 23 at St. Martin’s Lane, where a 13-foot-high pink table had been erected to invite people to ‘come to the table’ and discuss the climate crisis.

Samuel said: ‘It was like a military operation, I haven’t seen anything so organised and well executed!’

More than 90 rallyists were arrested for a variety of offences, police said.

The protest is part of a weeks-long campaign to demand an end to fossil fuel investment.

The UN climate change panel recently released a report connecting fossil fuel usage to extreme weather phenomena currently experienced in different parts of the world.
