Locals were stranded after a thunderstorm suddenly battered a city in China.
Heavy downpours with strong winds swept through Hangzhou City in Zhejiang province on August 26 knocking over several street signs and toppling a parked motorcycle.
Locals and commuters were also stranded in the area as the rain continued while motorists had to pull over due to affected visibility on roads.
A maximum wind speed of 25.3 m/s was recorded at the Lin’an weather station. The Hangzhou Meteorological Observatory raised a yellow warning signal due to the storm.
