This is the touching moment a highway police officer rescued an injured kitten trapped in an overpass.

Police Senior Sergeant Major Prayoon Klookead said he found the tiny cat while he was patrolling a district in Bangkok on November 7.

Prayoon parked the vehicle when he saw the tiny furry figure in front of his car. After seeing the creature up close he realised it was an injured kitten.

He quickly carried the helpless cat up and rushed back to his car. Luckily, the cat wasn’t badly injured and managed to recover after a few days of care at his home.

He said: ‘I guess it must have been climbing on one of the pickups and fell off. I’m honestly surprised that it’s alive.’
