This is the astonishing moment workers caught a giant 20ft-long python in a forest in Indonesia.
Locals were clearing a path in a forest to the village when the excavator operator noticed the snake moving among the rocks and soil in Jambi province on July 23.
Excited men then stopped digging and carried the calm animal out of the way of the construction. It was then released on the deeper part of the forest.
One of the workers Mahkota Ratu said: ‘It was so big we were so excited. Snakes are a usual sight in our area but this one was the biggest to far.’
