This is the bizarre moment an old woman tore down traffic barriers to take a shortcut across a busy main road in China.
Surveillance footage shows the pensioner forcefully pulling down the metal fence in the middle of a road in Chongqing City on October 3. She then proceeded to jaywalk, unmindful of the pedestrian bridge just 10 metres from where she was standing.
It is unknown if authorities were able to identify or apprehend the woman.
