This is the heartbreaking moment a little boy in the Philippines patiently stood next to his late mother’s coffin as he waited for her to wake up.
Two-year-old Ethan Ahon was seen standing on a stool to reach the casket and look at his mom, Julie Ann Ynot, at her wake in Dauis, Bohol on October 13.
According to Julie’s family, she died at age 35 reportedly due to stress after her youngest child was born.
Cousin Jenny Amoroto said: ‘I am really sad to see my nephew hoping for his mother to wake up.
‘Julie was healthy, but maybe the stress was too much for her since all her partners have left her to raise her five children on her own.’
The kids are currently under the custody of their grandparents.
