Theme park visitors were stranded today after a roller coaster stopped mid-ride during a power outage at Universal Studios Japan.
Footage shows the thrill-seekers trapped on top of the ‘Hollywood Dream Coaster’ at the theme park in Osaka prefecture. All the other park attractions were also shut due to the power cut.
The ride was stuck at the highest point with passengers on board. The riders were later guided down safely through the stairs.
There are 36 seats on the carriage but is unclear how many people were on the ride at the time.
