An adorable golden monkey snacked on an orange given by a tourist in China’s Mount Emei in Sichuan province on February 21.
Video shows the tourist handing half an orange to the small simian, which immediately ate the pulpy fruit. The monkey was seen licking its fingers clean after consuming its meal.
Mount Emei is one of China’s major Buddhist holy sites where people come to pilgrimage. However, macaques residing in the area have been known to terrorise tourists and pilgrims, stealing their food and personal items.
The golden monkeys are reportedly more docile and allow themselves to be petted by tourists climbing the mountain.
