This is the shocking moment a large water tank being installed on a tower pulled over a crane and landed on a doctor’s surgery roof.

Footage shows a crane hoisting the tank into the air to try and place it onto the structure in the town of Sofronio Espanola in Palawan province, the Philippines on October 24 afternoon.

The heavy-duty vehicle could not carry the weight of the container and tilted over, dropping its cargo on the roof of a nearby health centre.

Resident Jariel Gabriel Espinosa Fredeluces said: ‘We were so excited to finally have a water tank in our area after several years. But I didn’t expect it to fall on the roof of the health centre.’

‘Thank God it happened on a Sunday so there were no employees on duty. No one was injured, except for the crane operator who hurt his thumb.’

Nobody was seriously injured in the accident and the crane operator said they would cover the cost of the damage. Residents will now have to wait a few more weeks before they finally get their sought-after fresh water tank to supply their homes.
