This is the horrifying moment a suspected gas explosion destroyed a cafe in Kazakhstan.
CCTV footage shows cars driving in Aktau, western Kazakhstan when the roadside establishment exploded and sent debris flying into the air at 22:25 local time on November 7.
The Mangistau region emergency department said: ‘Under unknown circumstances, an explosion occurred, as a result of the complete destruction of the structure. Information about the victims has not been received.
‘The cause of the explosion and the area of destruction are being established.’
Authorities added that the cafe was closed when the incident happened. Investigations are currently ongoing to identify the cause of the blast.
