Locals battled through thick snow as heavy snowstorms hit parts of northern China.
Video shows a blizzard battering Hure Banner in Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia on November 8. Local meteorological agency staff trudged through knee-deep snow in the morning to reach the observatory and ensure their equipment was working properly.
The China Meteorological Administration said: ‘Kulun Banner, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region was hit by a heavy snowfall on November 8, and the amount of snowfall exceeded the historical extreme.’
Snowstorms were also recorded in Anshan, Liaoning province where the measured snowfall reached 63.8 millimetres.
