Two kittens drowning in a dirty river were rescued by firefighters in Malaysia.
Rescuer Muhammad Iqbal Hasnol recorded himself and his colleagues fishing out the stranded moggies in a river in Johor Malaysia, on April 2.
They climbed down the bridge railings and used a fishing net with a long handle to reach the cats which were floating in the muddy water.
One of the men had to chase after a kitten after it swam away and into a drain.
After the successful rescue operation, the firefighters released the pair into an alley next to an eatery. The cats were seen scurrying away to safety.
Muhammad said: ‘I often record what we do to teach people a lesson to be responsible with their pets and help animals in need.’
