Commuters had to walk on train tracks during a power interruption in a metro station in Shanghai, China.

The passengers reportedly heard abnormal noises and smelled smoke from the Metro Line 1 in Shanghai on November 12. Video shows people evacuating from the train cars as security personnel assisted them.

Shanghai Metro management said the outage was caused by a failure in the power supply equipment. The repairs have since been completed and normal operations have resumed.
