A wild python was caught while preying on livestock in Indonesia.
The six-metre-long snake entered a chicken coop in a village in Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan Province on November 8.
The owner was alerted to the hungry reptile’s presence when his chickens started making noise. He went to the coop to inspect and found the huge serpent still feasting on one of the birds.
Local resident Lisa said: ‘The chickens were noisy so the owner became suspicious. After taking a look, it turned out that there was a large snake eating.’
Residents caught the brown serpent and locked it inside a cage.
They suspect that it was behind the disappearances of other livestock in the area.
