Palestinian man shot dead after ‘machine gun attack’ in Israel killing one and injuring three

Footage shows police carrying away the body of a Palestinian man in Israel on Sunday November 21 after he carried out an attack killing a settler.

Police said the man, named as Fadi Abu Shkheidem, 42, carried out a gun and knife attack that killed an Israeli settler and wounded three others, including two police officers.

Israeli occupation forces opened fire on him following the violence in the the Old City at the Bab al-Silsila in East Jerusalem at around 9am local time. His body was carried away by security forces.

The alleged attacker had been staying in the region’s Shuafat refugee camp. He reportedly used a submachine gun and a knife in the attack.

Local media reported that the victim was in his 30s and suffered a head injury which he later died from in hospital. A 46-year-old man and two police officers were being treated in hospital.
