Vigilantes frogmarched an alleged paedophile naked through the street after he was accused of raping a nine-month-old baby.
The alleged attacker, 17, is said to have been found assaulting the infant in her family’s home in Pattani, southern Thailand on February 1.
Her mother went to buy some noodles, but when she came back she said she saw the suspect raping her child.
After pushing him away, she called her neighbours who arrived and forced the alleged attacker to walk naked along the village road. They lead him for 500 metres before a pickup truck arrived and took him to the police station.
In the clip, people were kicking the man while the dad hurled abuse at him.
At the police station, the suspect reportedly confessed he was playing with the child and took out her diaper before raping her once while the child was crying.
The child is in a good condition now and has been given antibiotics and disinfectant solutions to make sure she doesn’t get any diseases.
The mother also demanded 100,000 Baht (3,336USD) from the suspect’s family as compensation for the alleged attack.
Police Liutenwant Colonel Ning Makpon said the suspect had confessed to raping the baby.
The police chief said: ‘The family of the baby want the suspect to be punished for as long as possible. They also want financial compensation.
‘Evidence from the baby shows that he had raped her. His family are also pleading for compassion as they did not know he would do this.
‘We will wait for doctors to make a psychological evaluation of the suspect before we continue with prosecuting him.’
