One dead from fire in building in southeast China

One person was reported killed in a fire that broke out in a building in southeast China.

Video captured in the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong province on December 13 shows flames and black smoke coming out of the building’s windows.

The fire reportedly started on the building’s 9th floor and had spread to the adjacent floors. A total of 17 fire trucks and 79 firefighters arrived to extinguish the blaze.

The Shenzhen Fire Bureau confirmed that one had died in the incident. The cause and extent of the fire are still under investigation.
