This is the scary moment a large king cobra snake was caught after slithering into a car engine to keep warm.
The 8ft long reptile founds its way inside the pick-up truck during a winter cool spell in Surat Thani, southern Thailand, on December 20.
Shocked driver Wat Saensuk heard the creature moving around in the machinery when he tried to set off for work in the morning. He feared a living creature could be inside and called the emergency services.
Tens footage shows the animal rescue team slowly lifting the bonnet amid fears the deadly cobra could leap out and strike them.
They were then able to snares its head with a snake catching rod before dragging the snake out onto the ground so it could be released back into the wild.
Relieved driver Wat said: ‘I didn’t open the hood because I was afraid of what was inside. I’m glad I didn’t because that was a very dangerous snake.’
