A hillside in Malaysia collapsed after days of severe rain lashed the country.
Footage taken in Johor State’s Kota Tinggi District shows mud and soil, loosened by the downpour, tumbling onto a road on January 3.
Malaysia’s Department of Minerals and Geosciences said at least seven landslides have been recorded at the start of the year, as a continuous downpour battered parts of the country.
Authorities said seven states in Malaysia were inundated with floods after heavy rain in recent days. At least 50 people have reportedly died, while two are still missing. Officials said more than 8,700 people have been evacuated to relief centres.
