Thai locals prepare herbs believed to relieve symptoms of Covid-19.
Footage shows an elderly woman putting the medicinal herbs into boiling water she prepared in a rice cooker in Bangkok.
The boiling concoction of wild ginger, lemongrass, and lime leaves of a local variety produced steam, are believed to relieve mild coronavirus in an infected patient.
Once the mixture is boiled, a sack is then placed around the pot to gather as much steam as possible before it is inhaled.
Thailand has a total of 2,331,414 reported Covid-19 cases with 21,941 deaths so far. Ministers rolled out mass testing and vaccination efforts to control the spread of the virus in the country and as of January 17, have avoided an explosion in Omicron cases.
