An American man has been arrested in a Philippines red light district after allegedly making porn films during lockdown.
Easton Scot Sanderson, 34, was found in his apartment with two young women, aged 18 and 19, shooting the videos in the notorious Angeles City on February 2.
The American had three companions identified as Reneilyn Robles, 22, Jann Mondejar, 23, and Shirley Martinez, 22 who allegedly helped him find women to make the explicit films in his home studio.
The group were allegedly shooting their next film to be sold on several porn sites when the officers arrived to raid the house.
Police seized several cameras, assorted identification cards, sex toys, and some of their video archives which will be used as evidence against the group.
They allegedly recruited the young girls to work as ‘models’ and even had them sign contracts to appear legitimate.
However, when the girls arrived at his home, they were being offered the adult movies for extra money.
During a police interview, one of the teenagers said they didn’t know they were about to make a porn film until they arrived at the apartment.
She said: ‘I thought we were only going to do a sexy photoshoot, but I was shocked when I was told I will need to do a porn film and forced have sexual intercourse with him.’
Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Unit chief Nelvin Ricohermoso said the American and his cohorts used a ‘modelling company’ as a front to lure women.
He said: ‘Modelling was the group’s front and that was what was written on the women’s contracts, but once they are in the room, there’s sexual intercourse and the Filipinos record it on video.’
Sanderson and his three companions were taken to the police station to be detained while their charges are being prepared.
They will be charged with violation of the Human Trafficking Act which is punishable of at least 20 years imprisonment and a fine of up to two million pesos.
The Philippines has been under strict lockdown since March. Capital region Manila is still under a curfew.
