Plane makes crash landing on train tracks before pilot is pulled from wreckage in LA

A small plane made a crash landing on a train line before the pilot was dramatically pulled from the wreckage in Los Angeles, California.

Footage shows a Cessna 172 plane sitting in the middle of the Metrolink Antelope Valley line near the Whiteman Airport in the neighbourhood of Pacoima on January 9 afternoon.

Officers managed to pull out the plane’s injured pilot just moments before a thundering train slammed into the aircraft and sent debris flying out onto the Osborne Street – San Fernando Road intersection.

No one was reported injured from the collision, a Metrolink spokesperson said. The cause of the emergency landing is still being investigated.
