Residents rescued after heavy rain triggers flash floods in the Philippines

More than 50 residents were rescued the Philippines after extreme weather triggered flash floods in the area.

Footage shows rescuers helping an old woman and a baby in basin wade through neck-deep floods to reach safer grounds in Quezon province on December 27.

The rescuers installed a thick rope to form a line from the village to the road to safely bring the trapped residents to land.

The deluge submerged homes just two days after Christmas when two low-pressure areas hit the region.

No one was reported hurt in the incident but two houses were washed away by the flash flood.
