Rescue teams in Gaza used stand-up paddle boards to evacuate dozens of residents stranded in floods caused by heavy rain in the region.
Video footage from Sunday morning, January 16, shows how the deluge swamped streets ints in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip. A refugee camp was one of the buildings affected as the high water has made crossing the street almost impossible.
Officials used boards to paddle through the floods and save those affected, who were moved to temporary accommodation.
The Civil Defense rescue groups stated that it carried out dozens of operations since the start of the current weather depression, which began Thursday and lasted until Sunday morning. They said they had carried out more than 150 missions, including those to evacuate stranded residents, as of Sunday morning.
